When it comes to plastic surgery, there are hundreds of individuals who specialize in these advanced services. This invasive style of cosmetic surgery has been a blessing for many people as it has helped individuals feel more confident in their exterior appearance. Have you ever heard of Dr. Jennifer Walden? This extraordinary woman is running one of the most successful cosmetic surgical facilities in the country. She has an extensive educational background with a B.A. in Biology from the University of Texas, and she was the salutatorian of her class at the University of Texas Medical Branch.
Walden was born and raised in Austin, Texas. Her mother was a surgical nurse, and her father was a dentist. Professionalism just seems to run in this family’s bloodline. After graduating college, Walden headed for New York City’s Upper East Side. This is where she would obtain her fellowship in the field of aesthetic surgery. She also resided in this area for up to seven years. Following the birth of her twin sons, she moved back to Austin and opened up her own medical practice. Walden Cosmetic Surgery Center is its name and proving top-notch cosmetic surgery is its game. This medical practice offer many beneficial cosmetic surgical procedures such as:
• Breast Reconstruction
• Breast Reduction
• Wrinkle Reduction by Injection
• Skin Cancer
• Lip Augmentation
• Laser Skin Resurfacing
• Endoscopic Technique
• And many more
Walden is also very accomplished as she is the author of numerous publications, and she’s the honoree of many medical industry related awards. She also does a bit of consultation for companies such as Venus Concept, ThermiAesthetics and Ideal impact.
Russian scientist Mikhail Blagosklonny is among the leading proponents for the use of the cancer drug Rapamycin to treat age-related diseases and potentially slow the aging process. A graduate of First Pavlov State Medical University of St. Petersburg. Blagosklonny has an M.D. in internal medicine as well as a PhD in cardiology and experimental medicine. He has worked at New York State Medical College as an associate professor of medicine and spent 7 years at Orday Research Institute as a senior scientist. Since 2009 he’s been a Roswell Park Cancer Institute professor of oncology. The research interests of Mikhail Blagosklonny include cancer, targeted cancer therapies that limit damage to normal cells, anti-aging drugs and the mechanisms that underlie aging. In the early 2000s, while working on cancer treatments, he realized the same qualities of rapamycin that made it effective at slowing tumor growth could make it useful in helping to slow the aging process. Blagosklonny formulated a hypothesis about TOR signaling’s possible role in aging and cancer. He then proposed using rapamycin as a treatment for life extension. Blagosklonny was so convinced of rapamycin’s safety and potential, he began taking it himself.
When asked if taking rapmycin is dangerous because it lacks FDA approval for human trial’s, Blagosklonny says smoking, overeating and driving without a seatbelt are more dangerous. Since the potent antifungal compound was found in Easter Island, it has been shown to work on cell biology to prolong life at a fundamental level. Rapamycin inhibits a vital cellular pathway that regulates growth and metabolism. Studies have shown rapamycin increased the life span of male mice by 9% and female mice by 14%.Dr. Mikhail Blagosklonny continues to research the connection between aging and cancer and how rapamycin can impact both. His oncology research and his role as a professor have been very helpful in the oncology field. Not only does it enable him to find and share groundbreaking information, but Dr. Blagosklonny also serves as an inspiration to both his students and his peers. His expertise and the direction of his research will have an influence on others in the future as they seek to expand on the work that he has so bravely championed.
One of the concerns people have about rapamycin is about it suppressing the immune system. However, in a vindication of Dr. Blagosklonny’s hypothesis, the results of a recent study published in Science Translational Medicine shows everolimus, a rapamycine derivative, improves elderly patients immune response when limited doses are administered. According to the study, rapamycine enhanced immune response of patients 65 and older and boosted the flu vaccine’s efficacy. Rapamycine didn’t suppress the immune response, it modulated it.Rapamycin also reverses cardiac aging, reduces age-related bone loss and chronic inflammation and reverses Alzheimer’s disease when fed to mice. Dr. Blagosklonny says rapamycin has been used for over 15 years with less serious side effects than aspirin. He says when he takes rapamycin, it improves the way he feels much the same way exercise does.
Dr. Jennifer Walden is a bright star among the medical community in Texas. She is one of just around 800 female board certified plastic surgeons in America and her career has soared to amazing heights over the past decade.
She is a native of Austin and attended the University of Texas Medical at Galveston where she was her class’s salutatorian. After completing plastic surgery fellowship she moved to New York City where she worked on the Upper East Side. Her practice there became one of the leading practices in the city and Dr. Jennifer Walden became a household name for females in New York City seeking plastic surgery options.
After giving birth to two boys, she decided to relocate from New York City back to Austin, Texas to reunite with her hometown. Her practice there quickly took off and she is now known across America as one of the go-to plastic surgeons. Because she is female, she relates closely to her patients, who often have a specific issue they want to correct in order to grow their self esteem and body image positivity.
She performs a variety of cosmetic surgical procedures, including Botox, Micro Peels, Dermabrasion, Collagen Injections and Wrinkle Reductions by means of Injections. Her more deeply surgical procedures include rhinoplasty’s, stomach reductions, breast augmentation, breast implant removal, breast reductions and reconstructions, chin implants, cheek implants and many more. This large scale of procedures she has mastered is one of the reasons she is known not only as Austin’s go to plastic surgeon, but as Texas and the surrounding region’s top plastic surgeons.
Dr. Walden has also garnered a large variety of awards and honors. Among these prestigious awards include the Best Scientific Exhibit Award by a Resident, she Presented at the Society for the Aesthetic Surgery’s Yearly meeting. She has also been published over a dozen times by some of the top surgical and medical research publications in America.
